Accidentally bumped into this event, became the supporter for Johor representative.

Shell FuelSave competition- how far can you drive with one litre of Shell?

contestants came from Malacca, Johor, Perak, Pahang, Selangor/KL and Penang.

Dr.Fuel was giving lecture.

And followed by Fahrin Ahmad- Shell FuelSave Ambassador, sharing some tips on how to drive more efficiently.
1. Drive smoothly
2. Use higher gear
3. Keep the windows closed
4. Use cruise control
5. Avoid excess idling
6. Avoid over-revving
7. Avoid high speeds
8. Use air-condition sparingly
9. Avoid rush hour
10. Keep a constant speed

And then the competition is going to start.

Very soon, all the contestant were back. It took sometimes for the judges to analyze the result. Before the result revealed, supporters from johor wore red wigs and gave their biggest support. They are really supportive. i enjoyed the moment with them.
'输人不输阵'- that's their slogan.

It was nervous when only johor and malacca left.

eventually, jason won with his record of 21.3km, 0.3km farther than the malacca guy. phew~

nice and memorable moment, i guess everyone enjoyed :)

One day trip- Ipoh.

Brought: Rabbit (of course!)...

...and Teddy...

... and the useful GPS with Koala.

Lunch at Lou Wong restaurant.
*Thumb-up*
Total RM16++.

OoO, there was an aunty who put 60 cents on our table and walk away (she moved fast) when we had lunch at Lou Wong.
What's funny about it was we haven't order anything, not to mention pay for our meal, she has gave us the change
=.=

and when we try to return the change to other worker, he said:
"you give it back to her la"
=.=lll

since the aunty don't know 'disappear' to where, we decided to pay with this 60 cents ^.^

If KL railway station is in light brown, then Ipoh's is in all-white.

Few buildings around Ipoh railway station are in white too, the Mahkamah Tinggi and Dewan Bandaraya.

White building + blue sky = lovely
:)

Black & yellow taxi still run around Ipoh town, used to see it at KL when i was small.
btw, it's a KL plate taxi. I guess it moved from KL :p

The station's lobby is quite small

Heading up and heading down.

A train is going to depart.

Rabbit wonders where can he travels with train.
XD

Some industrial trains stop there too.

Next station...
Where to?
Let's search first...

Okay, let's go to St Michael's Institution.
(Actually we were passing by and i asked ky stop at a bus stop so i could snap this photo)

Got frightened when i walked near the fence to shoot at St Michael, this big creature stay quietly in the longkang.
I screamed, embarrassed betul =.=
luckily no one was around :p

Banks are in white and antique building as well.
First, they have Standard Chartered...

Padang Ipoh.
The flag is big and fluttering.

St Michael across the Padang.
Heard it is famous.

***
Kinta Heights flat
Look alike with Singapore's flats.

Opposite Kinta Heights flat.

They are the [distributor of "3 in 1 Ipoh Old Town White Coffee"]
That's what i read in Wikitravel.

Outdated menu

Rabbit:"where are we going now?"

Car: "Ipoh Parade"

We parked our car at highest floor, and found this nice view.
Can see part of the town from here.

Sek. Men. Sam Tet
Another famous school in town?

***
Ipoh Parade is pretty boring actually.
We merely window shopping.
So ended up sit at Parkson
:p

While waiting for other friends for dinner, we walked across Ipoh Parade to a 100 Yen shop.
It's a pretty stylish shop.
Most of the things are selling at RM4.90.
Some with higher price e.g. foods and beverages.

I bought this for RM5.90 ^.^

and it's added to my collection. ngek ngek ngek...

OoO, and this car map for RM4.90

The shop won't provide plastic bag. If you need one, they are selling reusable bags for Rm3.90 for non-member and RM2.90 for members (if not mistaken).

I love the "no plastic bag" concept ^.^

Unluckily, we didn't bring along our reusable bag that day.
Luckily, we bought few items only.
:p

***
We were brought to Tong Sui street, behind Sam Tet primary school (again, if not mistaken) for dinner.
I bet local peoples know it better, hardly saw traveler here.

Foods recommended: Tong sui, curry mee, beef noodle, Ais-kacang, etc.
